Now Macbeth hears this and he starts thinking that he could become king. If he kills his cousin (King Duncan) he will be king. After all he is Thane of Glamis. Then he finds out that Macdonwald (Thane of Cawdor) was exicuted for being a traitor to the king. King Duncan makes Macbeth Thane of Cawdor. Now he is really starting to believe these prophicies are true. He is hesitent to kill the king but will his greed drive him to murder Duncan? We will soon find out.
This Quote shows Macbeth is cnsidering killing Duncan. " Do you not hope your children shall be kings, When those that give Thane of Cawdor to me Promis'd no less to them." Macbeth.
